Hello animal lovers!

The times, they are a-changin’, and with them comes a change for this site.

Starting tomorrow, Acting Like Animals will be merged with Daily Squee. So from now on, you can get your animal fix twice a day over there!

We’ve had a lot of good times together, and I’m excited to keep anthropomorphizing these crazy animals for ages to come. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed it, too, and I look forward to seeing you all on Daily Squee from here on out.

Take care, and best wishes!

Sorry Cheezburger, but I don’t enjoy all the merging of the different places on the network. It seems that when I really like a site, it gets merged with another (sometimes with one I don’t care for), the name is usually the one being merged into and with the limited time I have on the computer I don’t go looking for it. *sigh*

Argh why?! I come here for the funny, not the cavities! Can’t this network just settle down and stop reorganizing itself constantly?

If anything they should have merged epicute+ daily squee, it would make a lot more sense.

  3. Zillow Zollo says:

Please no! The pictures here are far more amazing and the captions are clever, making this my favorite stop on the net. Daily Squee is ridiculous and aside from animals, has nothing to do with Acting Like Animals. I agree that EpiCute and Daily Squee should be merged instead. Please leave Acting Like Animals where it is – separate because it’s better than the rest! I implore you to change your mind about merging!

    Boooo!

Acting like animals and daily squee are completely different. The main difference being that daily squee is incredibly boring and usually quite un-funny.

I hope this doesn’t eliminate the “non-cute” submissions.

    Ditto with above comments. :(

I agree with the others that feel this is a bad idea. I don’t care for ‘daily squee’ and don’t know why they feel the need to combine the two. There have been a couple of cheezburger sites that I dropped because they were ‘merged’. I’m gonna miss this one.

It’s fine w/me! Actually, it’ll save some time since I subscribe to both. One click now for both. Thanx!

  8. ph0 says:

But the animals in squee are soooo booaarrrrinnggg

  9. ph0 says:

In fact, I would argue that it makes more sense to merge this site with cheezburger, since both focus on humorous pictures rather than cutesie pictures.

The main difference being that I can read and understand the comments here, but get a headache anytime I try to read comments at ICHC.

And to the mods and ICHC gods: WTF? So many of my faves have been folded into others that my head is spinning. I know we don’t pay to have access to this stuff, but why spend all that time branding and then f@#% with it?

Owl says “Stop the merging, or we’ll send Metalbeak to get you.”

    • Acies says:

Haha, I agree… the owl does not look impressed.. and isn’t “O RLY” usually used to mock an action/proposal? >.>

so far, throughout the many many merges the cheezburger network has done over the past month or 2, i have no yet seen a single positive comment from readers…. interesting, eh? =D

who thinks they’ll eventually merge lolcats and loldogs too? and then just have a “i can haz cheezburger > animals” tab to cover all things?
